The CARES Act provided a one-time stimulus payment of $1,200 ($2,400 for married couples), and an additional $600 per week of unemployment benefits for up to 13 weeks, then also a small business loan program (PPP), and other forms of immediate financial relief.

But that doesn’t seem to amount to much, according to some, and more relief is being discussed politically.
