Ukraine Agrees to Meet with Russian Negotiators and Putin Puts Nuclear Deterrence Forces on High Alert

After a phone call with Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko on Sunday, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreed to hold talks with Russia at the Belarus border. On Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered his military to put their nuclear forces on the highest level of alert in response to “aggressive statements” by NATO forces.
